Alexander Chen is a PhD student in Sociology. He graduated with an AB in Mathematics and minor in Computer Science from Princeton University and an MS in Financial Engineering from Columbia University. He has previously worked as a data scientist at Morgan Stanley in the machine learning group. His research interests include the sociology of science, the impact of AI on society, and Asian Americans.
