Estela B. Diaz

Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow

Estela B. Diaz is a Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Princeton University. She received his PhD in Sociology from Columbia University in the City of New York, and a Bachelors in Sociology from Princeton University. Broadly speaking, her research sits at the intersection of culture, elites, education, and inequality. Her current project examines the commodification of child rearing through a case study of private nursery, preschool, and kindergarten admissions in New York City. She is advised by Jennifer Jennings, Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs.
