Murilo Enrique Dorion Nieto

Bio/Description

Murilo Dorión is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Sociology department. He holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology and a certificate in Statistics and Data Science from Yale University. 

Originally from Brazil, Murilo is interested in mixed methods approaches to medical sociology, social epidemiology, and the process of signification of medical interventions. In the past, he has worked on measuring real-life effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines in a variety of settings, as well as vaccination uptake and the gendering of vaccination behavior in Brazilian favelas.
